Anti-hail rockets D-6 B and D-8TRAYAL produces two types of anti-hail rockets which are intended to neutralize hail clouds:
The hail is a natural disaster that causes a lot of damage, especially in agriculture. In a case of the strong hail with grains of ice, size of a walnut or bigger, suffers houses, vehicles, forests, wildlife and even people. In order to reduce the damage a lot of number of different methods are developed in the purpose of defense. One of the basic method is the inserting of meteorology active substances in a cold part of the cloud, a large number of particles that are representing centers of condensation or crystallization. Anti hail rockets are representing devices which quickly can seed large cloudy mass, with large quantities of reagents.
Set of anti-hail rocket consists from the rocket itself and launching container. By placing the rocket at launcher that is connected to the firing device, is possible to activate it. The firing device with it`s electric impulse fires electric firing head which is activating a propellant. By getting out from launching container wings of the rocket are opening and rocket gets stable flight. After finishing of delay burning, flame impulse is transmitting to reagent. During the flight through a cloud, in the next 36-39s, burning products of reagent, streams through holes from the body of rocket, and seeds a cloudy mass with a large number of crystallization centers. After burning of reagent, starts self-destruction of the rocket. Self-destruction breaks the nozzle assembly of the wings to weighing less than 40 g, the nozzle at parts negligible mass and body of the rocket at parts less than 450 g. All three self-destruction taking place within a period of 43 ± 3 s from the launching of rocket.
